European CRD IV Working Group

This working group consists of non-financial members from FIA, ISDA, EFET and the Commodity Markets Council that are followinging the review of the Capital Requirement Regulation (CRR) and Capital Requirement Directive (CRD IV) with regards to investment firms. The group has successfully advocated for the existing exemptions for commodity dealers from own funds requirements and large exposure requirements to be expanded until the end of 2020, thus providing more time for a thorough review of CRR/CRD IV by the European Commission and the European Banking Authority. We are engaging with the EBA regarding a data collection exercise for commodity firms and a discussion paper on proposed changes to capital requirements applicable to investment firms.
